As this was now the only active corps under the Northstar Youth Organization banner it was decided to drop the Cadet designation and revive the Dutch Boy Drum & Bugle Corps name for which this group had served as a training unit throughout the 80's and early 90's.

In 1998 Amanda Marshall filmed her music video "Believe In You" on the streets of downtown Kitchener. Dutch Boy was asked to appear in the music video and briefly marches down King street during the last 15 seconds of the video.
